As of January 1st, 2007, City Testing & Research Laboratories, Inc. (CTRL) and New York Testing Laboratories, Inc. (NYTL) have changed its corporate name to Inspection & Testing Services, Inc. (ITS).
The objective of this change is to signify a wider range of inspection and testing services, while enhancing our capacity as a diversified global partner.
ITS is an ISO 9001-2000 certified corporation committed to the highest industry standards of excellence in all phases of our operations. We have recently expanded our capabilities as part of our commitment to provide a comprehensive range of world class inspection and testing services to our clients.
Our engineers and scientists have over 100 years of combined experience in failure analysis and prevention of failures. Their expertise is optimized by the addition of state-of-art equipment to our metallurgical laboratory and various other departments.
The mechanical laboratory features a fully-equipped machine shop capable of complete specimen and fixture preparation. We can perform load tests up to 400,000 pounds on our equipment, as well as conduct routine tests such as charpy, tensile and bend testing.
The ITS chemical analysis laboratory is capable of performing analysis on all types of metals, utilizing the most advanced spectroscopic analytical methods. Wet analysis can also be performed whenever necessary.
Our ASNT NDT Level III and II professionals provide consultation, training and testing services in radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and penetrant testing methods, employing the latest technology and techniques. ITS has in-house AWS Certified Welding inspectors and is an AWS-accredited testing facility for testing welders.
